Tues. S.J. boys'roundup: Senior, freshman propel Middle Twp.

A freshman's first varsity goal and a senior's 20th of the season were enough Tuesday for Middle Township to knock off visiting Cape May Tech, 5-1, in a Cape-Atlantic League National Conference boys' soccer game.

Joe Fala, a freshman, scored his first career goal, and senior Jacob Cowan finished his 20th of the season and added an assist.

Jarred Casper, Corey Daniels, and Matt Waldron added goals for Middle Township.

Jody Tanghare scored Cape May Tech's lone goal.

Colonial. Anthony Colofranson scored three times to lead Gateway to a 4-0 triumph at Sterling. Brett Blaker sealed the win with a goal.

In other Colonial Conference action:

Alex Johnston scored twice in Haddonfield's 6-0 win over visiting Woodbury. Johnny Alemi, Dan Coyne, Luke Pease, and Brendan Werner added one goal each.

Four players found the net as West Deptford rolled to a 4-0 victory over host Lindenwold. Gustavo Gomez, Griffin Crowley, Lew Hunter, and Joe Mingrino scored for the Eagles.

Elzo Dunn and Kyle Wade scored in the second half to lead visiting Haddon Township to a 2-0 win over Overbrook.

Burlington County. Peter Delagarza scored twice to help Pemberton knock off host Medford Tech, 4-2.

Blair Carrico and Cristiano Gallo also added goals.

Friends Schools. Ethan Carilli scored once in the second half, but it wasn't enough as visiting Moorestown Friends fell to George School, 2-1.

Tri-County. Caiden Lopez scored twice as Pitman scored a pair of second-half goals for a 3-2 win over visiting Salem in a Classic Division game.

Sam Langloif added a goal for Pitman.

Eli Hammond scored two goals for Salem.

Nonleague. Stephen Meixner's overtime goal broke the scoring drought and handed Lenape a 1-0 win over visiting Rancocas Valley.

Meixner scored the winner 2 minutes, 30 seconds into the first overtime. Joe Cicchino posted 10 saves for Rancocas Valley, and his counterpart, Nick Maricondi, made four for Lenape.

Elsewhere in nonleague games:

Bryan Torres scored three goals and Akwasi Adu added two as Atlantic City sprinted to a 7-0 win over visiting Westampton Tech. Alex Camara and Evan Stoltzfus added one goal each.

Kyle Alpaugh needed three saves to propel Clearview to a 4-1 win at Williamstown. Cory Dolan, Quinn Grossman, Brett Milden, and Chris Norcross scored the goals. Milden also recorded an assist.

Tim Bernard notched a hat trick, and Glassboro rolled to an 8-2 win over host Bridgeton. Nick Mascitti and Jason Skidmore contributed with a pair of goals each. Jevon Creque added a goal and two assists and Jack Thompson also had an assist.

New Egypt and visiting Cinnaminson scored twice each in the second half and finished in a 2-2 deadlock. Sophomore Steven Kalbach and Mark Staudenmayer scored in the first 10 minutes of the half for the Pirates. New Egypt tied the score on goals from Kenny Stillwell and Eric Wig.

Sophomore striker Faruk Ozdemir scored twice and assisted on another goal as Burlington City turned away visiting Maple Shade, 3-0. Ozdemir scored the team's second and third goals. Sophomore Ozkan Ozturk posted the shutout with seven saves.

Gabriel Silva's lone goal was all Willingboro had in a 7-1 loss to visiting Trenton Catholic. Fomba Tulay scored once and assisted on two goals for the visitors.

Jon Mackie's two goals were enough to lead Holy Cross past host Pennsauken, 3-0. Tom O'Brien chipped in with one goal as the Lancers scored all three goals of their goals in the first half.

Johnny McFadden scored twice and Nick Zoppina added one goal as Riverside edged visiting Doane Academy, 3-2. Joe DeMarco scored twice for Doane.

Ryan Perry scored a pair of goals as Penns Grove earned a 4-3 victory over visiting Pennsville. Penns Grove also received one goal each from Arif Karagoz and Serkan Smith.

Jared Coleman, Austin Moore and Drew Silver found the net for Pennsville.
