Despite Pitt commitment, Clement exploring options

Posted: October 19, 2012

Corey Clement has not decommitted from the University of Pittsburgh.

But the Glassboro senior running back concedes that he is considering other schools.

"This decision is so crucial," said Clement, who is on the verge of setting the South Jersey all-time record for rushing yards. "It's very stressful."

Clement already has made official visits to Nebraska and Notre Dame this fall. He said he will leave Saturday morning to visit Wisconsin.

And defending national champion Alabama might be entering the picture, too. Clement said he plans to visit Alabama over Thanksgiving weekend along with Woodbury defensive back Anthony Averett, who has committed to play for the Crimson Tide.

Averett is Clement's best friend.

"It's my dream to play in the NFL," Clement said. "But I have to think about my future, not just in football. I have to make sure I make the right decision."
