Sat. S.J. boys' and girls' roundup: Atlantic City rolls

Bryan Torres had four goals as Atlantic City defeated Holy Spirit, 8-0, Saturday in an annual nonleague game known as the Brigantine Cup.

Akwasi Adu added a pair of goals. Atlantic City leads Holy Spirit, 4-1, all-time in Cup games.

In another nonleague game, Shane Guyer scored twice to lead Hammonton over St. Joseph, 4-0. Nick Auleta and Dave Donio-Enscoe added goals.

Adam Buffington and Lorenzo Garcia split the shutout, as Hammonton didn't allow a shot on goal.

Girls' Soccer

Jade Pinto scored twice as Overbrook shut out Lindenwold, 4-0, in a Colonial Conference match.

Alyssa Easterday and Allison Williams scored the other two goals.

Nonleague. Maria Kirby stopped all six shots she faced as Kingsway downed Egg Harbor Township, 3-0. Gab Griffis, Rachel Rivell, and Lindsey Thomas scored. Kelliann Burns, Tati Helwig, and Jamie DelViscio had assists.

Antonia Maffia stopped 11 shots for EHT.

Cydney Staton scored twice to lead Pennington to a 3-0 victory over Delran. Jess Larsen stopped 10 shots for Delran.

Field Hockey

Kylee Hirst scored in the first half to lift Gloucester over Kingsway, 1-0, in a nonleague match.

Hirst scored 17 minutes, 54 seconds into the first half for the winner.
