Forecast affects CACC soccer playoff schedule

The quarterfinals of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men's and women's soccer tournaments were rescheduled because of the threat of bad weather from Hurricane Sandy.

The women's quarterfinals, originally scheduled for Monday, will be played at noon Sunday at the higher seed. No. 2 Philadelphia University will host No. 7 Chestnut Hill, No. 6 Holy Family will travel to No. 3 Caldwell, No. 8 Felician will play at No. 1 Wilmington, and No. 5 Nyack will visit No. 4 Georgian Court.

The men's quarterfinals, originally scheduled for Tuesday, will be at noon Monday. Matchups had not been determined.

Ursinus inductions. The Ursinus College Hall of Fame will welcome seven new members Friday night: Bradley Brewster '74, Susann Sobolewski Dybus '02, Bradley Getz '97, Jumaah Ingram Johnson '02, Erin Fitzgerald Stroble '02, retired baseball manager Brian D. Thomas, and Wilbert D. Abele '61. Abele will receive the Blanche B. Schultz '41 Award for commitment to Ursinus athletics.

Hawks on radio. All St. Joseph's men's basketball games will be carried by WIP-AM (610), with the exception of the Jan. 19 game with Penn at 5 p.m. on WPHT-AM (1210).

The home opener is Nov. 12 against Yale in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic at 7 p.m.

WIP will carry coach Phil Martelli's HawkTalk show live Mondays from 7 to 8 p.m.
