Despite the Governor's order to evacuate, some Ocean City, N.J., residents decided to stay on the island as Hurricane Sandy approached Monday.
One of those people was Rick MacLeish, a former Flyer who lives with his wife on Bay Avenue next to Corson's Inlet.
"We're the last house in Ocean City," MacLeish said Monday afternoon as rising waters were flooding some of the streets.
MacLeish, 62, one of the most prolific goal scorers in Flyers history, added: "We'll stick it out. Maybe it will skip us like Irene did last year."
