Nutrisystem Inc., the Fort Washington weight-loss product company, said it named Dawn M. Zier as its new chief executive officer and president, replacing Joe Redling, who was stepping down and resigning from the board of directors.
Zier had been president of international business at Reader's Digest Association Inc.
Zier will join Nutrisystem on November 15, and Redling will remain with the company as CEO through disclosure of the company's third quarter financial results on November 9.
Chief financial officer David Clark will serve as interim CEO between Redling's departure and Zier's arrival, the company said. Shares closed down 25 cents, at $9.44, before the announcement.
