Knicks top Spurs to stay unbeaten

Raymond Felton scored 25 points and the New York Knicks stayed undefeated by rallying to beat the host San Antonio Spurs, 104-100, on Thursday night.

J.R. Smith added 17 points, Jason Kidd had 14, and Tyson Chandler 13 for the Knicks (6-0), who closed on a 22-11 run to remain the NBA's lone unbeaten team.

Smith and Kidd hit consecutive three-pointers to give the Knicks a 100-95 lead with one minute left in the game.

Tony Parker led San Antonio (7-2) with 19 points and 12 assists.

Elsewhere: Joe Johnson made the tiebreaking basket with 3:03 left, Deron Williams and Brook Lopez each scored 24 points, and the Brooklyn Nets beat the visiting Boston Celtics, 102-97, for their fourth straight victory.

Coming and going

With only nine healthy players on the roster and six of their top seven out because of injuries, the Minnesota Timberwolves agreed to terms on a one-year deal with 32-year-old free-agent forward Josh Howard, pending a passed physical, and the plan is for him to be in uniform against Golden State on Friday night. . . .   The Washington Wizards waived Jannero Pargo and signed free-agent guard Shaun Livingston.

Injury report

Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry (Villanova) will be sidelined one to two weeks with a bruised bone in his right foot.
