Flyers' Claude Giroux suffers neck injury in Germany

Flyers star Claude Giroux suffered a neck injury while playing for Eisbären Berlin in Germany, but multiple reports said it was minor and that the center is fine.

The same can't be said for the NHL.

The league-imposed lockout is in its 64th day, and no end is in sight. The league and the NHLPA are scheduled to meet Monday, but NHL officials say the sides are far apart in many areas.

In other words, look for more games to be canceled soon - perhaps later this week.

As for Giroux, he was checked in the head in a game against the Krefeld Penguins on Friday and taken to a hospital, but he was released and could practice on Tuesday.
