Buckeyes' fans seek presidential pardon

PRESIDENTIAL pardons are serious business. Unless, apparently, you're an Ohio State football fan.

Buckeyes fans recently tried to waste President Obama's time by posting a petition on whitehouse.gov imploring him to pardon their football team.

Due to NCAA sanctions, the Buckeyes can't play for the Big Ten title or for the national championship. The sanctions came down last December after it was discovered some players received a total of $14,000 in cash and tattoos in exchange for jerseys, rings and other memorabilia.

The petition has little chance of swaying Obama, considering it has been removed from the site.

What's interesting is that fans waited until the team was 11-0 before filing the petition.

Why the fans thought the president would get involved is beyond us. Perhaps they thought he owed them because the Dems carried Ohio.

Which Fatboy is it?

Turns out we were wrong to insinuate that a recent tweet by Michael Vick's brother, Marcus, was about Eagles coach Andy Reid.

On the Monday after the Eagles lost to the Redskins, Marcus tweeted, "Yeaaaaa! Try everything n your handbook to save your [butt] FATBOY!!!!"

Many, including us, figured that was a reference to the rotund Reid.

No so, said Marcus.

On Tuesday, Mike's brother tweeted the following:

"I never mentioned Coach. U people find anything to pick at. Step off my tweets PLEASSSSE!!!! It's not that serious. Everything don't involve football."

Marcus has still not said which "Fatboy" he was referring to.

But an animated source has told the Daily News that it's Peter Griffin, the portly star of "Family Guy."
