Women's College Basketball: Villanova wins UNLV tourney

Lauren Burford scored 19 points, Caroline Coyer added 13, and Laura Sweeney chipped in with 12 as Villanova defeated Montana, 74-49, Sunday to win the championship of the UNLV Lady Rebel Round-Up in Las Vegas.

Torry Hill led the Grizzlies (3-2) with nine points.

The Wildcats (4-1) defeated Bowling Green on Saturday to reach the final.

St. Joseph's 71, Hofstra 55 - Led by a career-high 19 points from senior guard Ashley Prim, the visiting Hawks (3-2) took a 17-point lead into halftime and never relented in the second half. Ilze Gotfrida and Erin Shields added 11 points apiece for St. Joseph's.

Rutgers 55, Davidson 49 - Minique Oliver scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Scarlet Knights (3-1) over the visiting Wildcats (1-3) in Piscataway, N.J.

Stanford 77, Long Beach State 41 - Chiney Ogwumike had 16 points and 11 rebounds, and the No. 1-ranked Cardinal (6-0) beat the visiting 49ers.

Duke 82, Xavier 59 - Chelsea Gray scored a season-high 22 points, and the No. 4 Blue Devils (4-0) routed the Musketeers in Cincinnati.

Kentucky 100, USC Upstate 34 - A'dia Mathies scored 17 points, Samarie Walker added 13, and the No. 9 Wildcats (4-1) forced 38 turnovers in a blowout of USC Upstate in Lexington, Ky.

Iowa 79, West Virginia 70 - Jaime Printy made all 17 of her free throws and scored 19 points as the Hawkeyes rallied from a seven-point halftime deficit to upset the No. 12 Mountaineers at the FIU Thanksgiving Classic in Miami.
