College Basketball: Top-ranked Indiana rolls past North Carolina

Cody Zeller collected 20 points and eight rebounds, leading No. 1 Indiana to an 83-59 rout of No. 14 North Carolina on Tuesday night in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge in Bloomington, Ind.

Michigan 79, North Carolina State 72 - Trey Burke had 18 points and 11 assists as the No. 3 Wolverines (6-0) held off the No. 18 Wolfpack (4-2) in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Freshman Nik Stauskas led Michigan with 20 points.

Bowie State 94, Cheyney 79 - Deshawn Curtis paced the Wolves with 18 points in a nonleague loss to the host Bulldogs (3-4). Cheyney fell to 1-1.

Holy Family 91, Kutztown 75 - Ervin Ezell (Deptford High) and Alberto Munoz combined for 47 points in the Tigers' nonleague road victory over the Golden Bears (1-4).

Munoz led Holy Family (3-3) with 24 points.

Women

Haverford 72, Bryn Mawr 26 - The host Fords (3-1, 2-0 Centennial Conference) were led by Nina Voith (Germantown Friends) with 12 points, while Elizabeth Lynch and Jacquelyne Pizzuto each contributed eight points.

Ashlee Williams paced the Owls (1-3, 0-2) with eight points, and Liandra Curtis pulled down seven rebounds.

Ursinus 48, Franklin and Marshall 45 - The Bears (3-1, 1-0 CC) got 13 points each from Caroline Shimrock (Gwynedd-Mercy Academy) and Jessica Porada in a victory over the visiting Diplomats (3-1, 1-1).

Scranton 57, Cabrini 53 - Brittany Sandone (Souderton High) scored 19 points for the Cavaliers (2-2) in a road loss to the Royals (5-0), who were powered by Meredith Mesaris (26 points).

Lincoln 68, Kutztown 60 - Alaysia Washington came off the bench to spark the host Lions (1-4) with three three-pointers in the second half, and Cynthia Johnson scored a career-high 25 points in the win over the Golden Bears (1-2).
