Hospital officials say a Utah State player who collapsed at practice has been moved out of the intensive care unit and upgraded to fair condition.
Jason Carlton, a spokesman for Intermountain Medical Center, said Danny Berger remains at the Salt Lake City-area hospital. The 22-year-old Berger collapsed on the court during a practice Tuesday.
Longtime Utah State assistant athletic trainer Mike Williams is credited with saving Berger's life after Berger went into cardiac arrest.
* Atlantic Coast Conference presidents issued a statement saying that speculation about additional member schools leaving the league is "totally false."
All 15 presidents, including future members Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Louisville, unanimously agreed on issuing the statement. The ACC's vow of solidarity comes a month after Maryland announced it was leaving for the Big Ten.
* Monmouth University suspended men's coach King Rice for one game for his actions and critical comments toward officials after being ejected in Wednesday's loss to Navy.
