NOBODY KNOWS if three ghosts visited Howie Roseman on Wednesday night, but Thursday morning, the Eagles' general manager called agent Peter Schaffer, looking for a way to fix the problems created when the Eagles placed Patterson on the nonfootball injury/illness list, and triggered a clause in his contract that would take at least $125,000 out of Patterson's remaining 2012 salary.
They ended up revising the contract, taking out the clause, and resubmitting it to the NFL. End result: Patterson keeps his money.
