2 victims of Chester shootings ID’d

Chester Police have identified the murder victims killed in two of four shootings that happened earlier this week.

Three of the shootings occurred on Monday. In the fatal shooting, police were called to the 300 block of West 22nd street at 5:45 p.m. Monday near the Upland Township border.

Larry Bradley, 40, of Chester, was shot numerous times and later died at Crozer Chester Medical Center, said Chester Det. James Nolan.

The shooting occurred when Bradley was exiting the passenger side of a car. The suspect, who was wearing all black, walked up to Bradley and spoke to him before taking aim, Nolan said.

Less than an hour later, also on Monday, a 19 year-old man from Chester was shot near the intersection of 11th and Grace Streets. His wounds were non-life threatening.

And earlier the same day, a 35-year-old man from Chester was approached by another man who shot him in the leg and then ran to a waiting car. The victim, who police say is not cooperating, said the motive was robbery. No items were taken.

On Tuesday, Harvey Ringgold, 26, of Chester was found by police lying in the street near Rose and Upland Streets after they were called to the scene for gunfire. He was shot multiple times and declared dead at the scene.

Ringgold was a gunshot victim in 2005 and was not cooperative with investigators at the time, police said.

The city has had 23 homicides to date.
