Texas sophomore point guard Myck Kabongo, who did not play Wednesday in the Longhorns' upset win over North Carolina, will be suspended by the NCAA for the rest of the season for allegedly accepting improper benefits from an agent and violating his amateur status, Yahoo! Sports reported.
According to the report, Kabongo supplied inaccurate information to the NCAA during an investigation into whether he violated his amateur status.
Coach Rick Barnes insisted that there is no final decision on his status.
