Brandon is a happy 13-year-old who enjoys pleasing others and is polite and cooperative. His social worker says he is a pleasure to be with. Brandon is well-liked by his peers and is very protective of younger children. His favorite activities include singing in a choir, swimming, bowling, and playing video games. Brandon also enjoys being with the dogs and ferrets in his foster placement.

Brandon has been diagnosed with high-functioning autism. He does very well in school, where he receives special education services. He puts much effort into his classwork and as a result has won many awards. His teachers report that he is a joy to have in their classrooms and they appreciate the interest he takes in his subjects. Last spring he participated in Special Olympics bowling and is proud of the award he won.

Brandon has experienced many separations and losses and yearns to have a permanent family. He would do best with a patient, loving, understanding family that would provide a structured environment for him. He is close to his siblings and it is important that the contact be maintained.

Brandon and other children are available for adoption by approved applicants. For more information, contact Crystal Allen at the New Jersey division of the National Adoption Center. E-mail callen@adopt.org or call 267-443-1867.
