Women's College Basketball: Villanova women defeat DePaul

Villanova led from start to finish Wednesday night in a 65-45 Big East win over visiting DePaul that ended the Blue Demons' win streak at six games.

Rachel Roberts scored a career-high 19 points for the Wildcats (12-2, 2-0 Big East), while the Blue Demons fell to 12-4 and 1-1.

Richard Stockton 86, Rowan 50 - Che'Na Thompson (Salem) scored 18 points, including the 1,000th of her career, in the Ospreys' New Jersey Athletic Conference win over the host Profs (4-11, 0-7 NJAC) in Glassboro.

Thompson also pulled down 14 rebounds for the Ospreys, who are 8-3 overall, 4-3 in the conference.

Jade Bonder (Williamstown) scored 13 for Rowan.

Immaculata 68, Cedar Crest 28 - Chrissy Esbensen (St. Pius X) led the way with a game-high 24 points as 10 Mighty Macs scored in their Colonial States Athletic Conference win over the host Falcons in Allentown.

Immaculata (6-8, 4-1 CSAC) shot 9 for 13 from three-point distance.

Megan DeMutis (Kennedy-Kenrick) led Cedar Crest (2-11, 1-4) with nine points.

Georgian Court 68, Chestnut Hill 66 - Shauneia McPhearson scored 18 points for the visiting Lions (4-10, 4-5 CACC) in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference win. The Griffins fell to 2-11, 0-6.

Montclair State 61, College of New Jersey 39 - In Ewing, N.J., the Lions (9-5, 5-2) dropped just their second NJAC game, while the 16th-ranked Red Hawks (15-0, 8-0) remained unbeaten.

Cabrini 65, Neumann 32 - Laura Caron (Archbishop Wood) scored 16 points for the Cavaliers (10-3, 5-0) in the CSAC home win over Neumann (4-9, 2-3) in Radnor.
