TEMPLE'S new football coach, Matt Rhule, has hired a defensive coordinator. Phil Snow comes to North Broad Street after three seasons holding the same positon at Eastern Michigan.
Both were on the UCLA staff in 2001.
"I could not have wanted to bring any coach [here with me] more than Phil Snow," Rhule said in a statement.
Snow - who was an assistant coach with the Detroit Lions in 2005-08 and has also been a DC at Boise State, Arizona State, UCLA and Washington - replaces Chuck Heater, who is leaving for the same position at Marshall. He held the job the past 2 years under Steve Addazio, but will be rejoining former Temple defensive line coach Sean Cronin, his son-in-law.
