Pa. Girls: Then scores 40 in victory by Robeson

Star guard Tiffany Then scored 40 points and made off-the-ball contributions that led Paul Robeson to a 72-53 victory over host Motivation in Public League girls' basketball Wednesday.

Then, a senior, added 5 assists, 12 steals, and 9 rebounds.

In other Public League action:

Communications Tech gave coach Joe Garrett his 50th career victory, a 69-24 rout of visiting Audenried. Garrett's daughter Bryce, a sophomore guard, led all scorers with 18 points, also chipping in eight assists and four steals.

Stefanie Ulmer scored 21 of her 23 points in the first half, and Franklin Towne Charter never looked back, rolling to a 59-28 win at Del-Val Charter.

Junior point guard Aaliyah Thurman dropped in 11 points in the fourth quarter as host Lincoln stormed back from a five-point deficit after three quarters to beat Simon Gratz, 47-44.

Science Leadership Academy's Joy Morrow scored 14 points and hauled in 15 rebounds, setting the tone in a 48-16 defeat of visiting Ben Franklin.

Savannah Patterson scored 24 points, and O'Shea Burnett had 14 points and 11 rebounds, as host Parkway Northwest blitzed Philadelphia Academy Charter, 47-19.

Bok senior Catherine Meyers scored 30 points in a 64-49 victory over visiting Franklin Learning Center.

Natalia Casiano scored a game-high 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead visiting Mastbaum to a 43-34 win over Rush.

Dobbins rode Najimah Chestnut's five fourth-quarter points to a 41-40 comeback victory against visiting Palumbo.

Engineering and Science senior Amber Dennis outscored Mariana Bracetti by herself, netting 19 points in a 60-18 home triumph.

Bicentennial. Sophomore guard Emma Dorshimer paced Jenkintown with 19 points in a 50-21 runaway at Calvary Christian.

Nonleague. Facing a two-point deficit entering the fourth quarter, William Tennent sank eight free throws in the final period to beat host Springfield (Montco), 50-42.

Delco Christian put together a total team effort, with every player reaching the score sheet in a 69-22 rout of visiting Bristol.

Agnes Irwin senior Faith DeVlieger scored a game-high 18 points, leading to a 45-34 win over visiting Friends' Central.
