Three residents and two firefighters received minor injuries in an overnight fire in East Norriton, Montgomery County, as cold and ice made conditions even more dangerous.

A Montgomery County dispatch supervisor said the fire in a house on the 3000 block of Whitehall Road was reported about 1:15 a.m.

Three of those inside the house were injured jumping from a second floor to the ground and were taken to Einstein Medical Center in East Norriton.

The injuries were minor, said the supervisor.

Two firefighters were also hurt when they slipped on ice that formed as fire companies battled the blaze. They were treated at the scene.

The house was considered a total loss and demolition crews were called to the scene.
