Guerra told us that revealing his status on "Project Runway," was "my first moment of pure honesty with myself and other people."
He had no idea it would result in him working for various AIDS organizations, but "I was overwhelmed by love and support from so many people. Fans of the show, people who know people living with disease."
"It made me take responsibility to continue the conversation," says Guerra, who many fans say was robbed by not winning "Project Runway." He later won the first season of "Project Runway All-Stars."
Tickets for Fashion in Action are $50 and available at ActionAIDS.org. For more info on DiningOut for Life, visit diningoutforlife.com.
