Wed. Pa. wrestling: Dunn, Pennsbury prevail

Andrew Dunn scored a 7-0 decision at 106 pounds in Wednesday night's final bout to clinch Pennsbury's 36-28 win over Truman in a Suburban One National wrestling match.

Dunn's win turned back Truman's late rally, as the Tigers had strung three straight wins. Nick Rossi scored a fall at 195, Jake Goodman added a decision at 220, and Connor McAdams won by forfeit at heavyweight.

Pennsbury was led by Zack Clarke's second-period pin at 138 and Ernest Tessein's first-period fall at 182.

Also in the Suburban One:

Tom Matarazzo scored a 5-1 decision at 106 pounds to open Council Rock North's 54-8 win over visiting Bensalem. John Dutrow added a 41-second pin at 138, and Tyler Kelly eked out a 1-0 decision at 145.

Tanner Seislove scored a 10-4 decision at 113 pounds to clinch Quakertown's 35-32 win at Central Bucks East. Collyn Dorney added a 1-minute, 20-second pin at 106 pounds, and Gavin Caroff rolled to a 13-0 decision at 195.

Central. Bobby Bender scored a close decision at 120 pounds, and Kennett rallied to top Great Valley, 44-33. The Blue Demons won the last three bouts, including Bender's. Cory Tomasetti added a pin at 220 pounds.

Downingtown East won the last six bouts en route to dropping visiting West Chester East, 53-9. Jude McDowell had a 7-2 decision at 106, and Matt Bartolotta added a 51-second pin at 220.

Catholic. Nick Reidy scored a pin in 1:44 at 152 pounds to help Father Judge ease past host St. Joseph's Prep, 46-27.

Public. Kyle Mallon scored a second-period pin at 120 pounds as Mariana Bracetti edged Frankford, 36-29, in the quarterfinals. Ronald Palmer capped the match with a pin in 4:12 at 138.
