B.J. Johnson scored his 1,000th career point on Wednesday night as Lower Merion eased past host Conestoga, 60-40, in a Central League boys' basketball game.
Johnson, a senior guard headed to Syracuse, finished with a game-high 14 points and reached the milestone in the third quarter.

Gabe Armando hit four late foul shots to seal Haverford High's 53-50 win at Radnor.
Aaron Parenti forced a second overtime with a late jumper and secured the win with a blocked shot at the buzzer of the second overtime as Garnet Valley edged Harriton, 67-66. The junior forward finished with 16 points and 14 rebounds. His shot tied the game with 10 seconds left in the first overtime. The Jaguars' Joe Sweeney, a junior forward, had tied the game at the end of regulation with a baseline jumper.
