Robert's second wife, Ellen Kardashian, tells In Touch the diary is genuine, saying Robert gave it to her shortly before his death in 2003. Kris' rep tells the New York Daily News that "we have no knowledge of these diaries existing and these accusations are ridiculous and not true."
Kim 'n Kanye: No baby pictures!
Speaking of Kardashians, as we always are, Kim K, who has given, like, 90,000 interviews in the last two weeks, is so protective of her privacy that she and her baby's papa, Kanye West, won't let anyone - including Kim's mom, the above-mentioned alleged abuser Kris - sell photos of the newborn when it finally arrives. We'll see.
Adele to premiere 'Skyfall' live
British singer Adele, whose album 21 has sold more than 27 mil copies worldwide, will sing her Academy Award-nominated song "Skyfall" for the very first time in America (ever!) at the Oscars on Feb. 24. Ever! And live!
Meanwhile, intrepid gossiphounds at London's The Sun say they've solved that most awesome mystical secret, the name of Adele's first child. It's . . . Angelo! Or so the tabloid says. The proof? Adele was seen wearing a gold necklace with the name Angelo on it on Monday in Los Angeles.
No Steve Carell in 'Office' finale
He's doing a cruel thing. An ugly thing. Steve Carell has refused to do a guest cameo on the series finale of the sitcom he made famous, The Office.
Carell, 50, says he's friends with the cast and crew and would have loved to come for a visit, but felt it would harm the integrity of his character, the integrity-challenged Michael Scott.
"I just didn't think it was right for the character," the thesp tells Access Hollywood at a Sundance Festival P.R. event for his pic The Way Way Back.
Bradley Cooper as Lance Armstrong?
Just days after Lost genius J.J. Abrams announced he plans to produce a biopic about disgraced cycling giant Lance Armstrong, word comes that Bradley Cooper is dying to play the part.
The Rydal-born actor says he got turned on to the idea years ago, when he heard that Matt Damon planned to star in a Lance biopic. "I remember thinking, That would be a great character, I'd love to play that character,' " Coop tells BBC News. "I would love to do something, I think he's pretty fascinating."
Abrams' biopic will be based on the forthcoming book Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong, from New York Times sportswriter Juliet Macur.
Sheryl Crow: Not easy being Lance
Not every citizen is cursing Lance Armstrong's name. The athlete's ex-gf, Sheryl Crow, 50, says she empathizes with Lance's pain. Crow says Lance may be hatin' all the hatin' going on around him since he confessed about his doping, but he'll be happier for confessing it. "I think that honesty is always the best bet and that the truth will set you free," Crow tells Entertainment Tonight. "To carry a weight like that around would be devastating in the long run."
¡It's a niño for Shakira!
On Wednesday, Colombian singer Shakira announced that she and her boyfriend, soccer hotshot Gerard Piqué, have welcomed their first child, a boy named Milan Piqué Mebarak.
The singer's rep says Milan's name means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic and unification in Sanskrit.
That is way too much responsibility! I mean, will the poor child ever live up to those ideals?
It's a big secret for Kelly Osbourne
Reality TV survivor and singer Kelly Osbourne has secretly become engaged to Matthew Mosshart, Anonymous Source tells Us Weekly.
Entertainment industry news
Mad Men, AMC's beloved yet increasingly exhausted dissertation on the American dream, will return for its sixth season with a double episode on April 7. Fave stars returning include Jon Hamm, January Jones, Elisabeth Moss, John Slattery, and Christina Hendricks.
Al Green says he was, indeed, asked to sing his classic tune "Let's Stay Together" for President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle at the inaugural ball, but had to cancel due to scheduling conflicts. Jennifer Hudson stepped in to do a fine rendition. Obama has previously been recorded singing bits of the song.
Fox has yanked its Dakota Johnson- and Nat Faxon-starring Tuesday night sitcom Ben and Kate, which was averaging a mere 3.1 mil viewers for the season, USA Today reports. The remaining six episodes will be shown at a later date.
Beyoncé-Gate: She did sing!
Reports that Beyoncé lip-synched the national anthem at President Obama's inaugural ball were exaggerated, a new raft of reports say. Members of the Marine Corps band that backed her said on Tuesday the song was entirely canned. Now Us Weekly says Her Mighty B sang live over a prerecorded music track. Anonymous Source tells the mag the music director suggested it in the first place. "Any big outdoor live performance is almost always with some kind of track," Source says.
