No bail reduction for Woodbury man charged with murder

A Woodbury computer technician, charged with the murder of a 41-year-old woman, will continue to be held on $1 million bail despite his plea for a bail reduction.

Harry John Neher, 31, maintained his innocence as he asked to have bail dropped to $500,000. Describing his contact with the criminal justice system as "minute," Neher's attorney said his client only had prior convictions on burglary, arson and stun gun possession, said Bernie Weisenfeld, spokesman for the Gloucester County Prosecutor's office.

The victim, Sabrina R. Bullock, also of Woodbury, was found dead Dec. 29 inside a clothing collection bin near Neher's apartment. She had been strangled with a computer cord, prosecutors said. Bullock may have owed money to Neher, said Asst. Prosecutor Laurie Cimino, and a review of Bullock's cellphone showed the last call made was to Neher. The prosecutor also said bloodstained clothing was found inside a bag belonging to Neher.
