DANNY GARCIA hurt his rib in training and his Feb. 9 title defense against Zab Judah has been postponed, according to ESPN.com.
The website said it received a text message from Garcia on Sunday. Judah appeared on Showtime's broadcast Saturday night to talk about the Garcia fight and gave no indication that the champion had suffered an injury. Judah confirmed on Sunday that the fight was off.
Garcia, of North Philadelphia, is the unified junior welterweight champion. There is no timetable for when the Garcia-Judah fight will be held.
