The ticket was sold at Lisa's Deli, 328 Main St., in Orange, northwest of Newark, in Essex County.
The jackpot reboots for Tuesday's drawing to $12 million for the annuity, $8 million for the cash.
New Jersey tickets have won all or part of a Mega Millions jackpot 15 times since 2002, as well as two Powerball jackpots since 2010.
The biggest jackpot hit in New Jersey was worth $390 million, but that 2007 Mega Millions prize was split between a Cape May County couple and a Georgia trucker. The biggest annuity won by a single ticket in the state was a $258 million Mega Millions jackpot, won in 2005 by a Bergen County couple.
Powerball. No one matched all the numbers drawn Saturday night - 3, 22, 26, 41 and 49, with a Powerball of 18 - but six tickets matched the first five, winning $1 million each. They were sold in North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, Kansas, Texas and Oregon.
