A 12-year-old Delaware County student has been arrested for allegedly posting a threat on Facebook indicating he planned to shoot classmates.

The incident occurred Monday night, and the Ridley Middle School student was taken into custody around 6 a.m., officials said.

The student was charged with terroristic threats and unlawful use of a computer. He is being held at the juvenile detention facility in Lima, according to Emily Harris, spokesperson for the District Attorney's office. The boy was not identified.

The student threatened to bring a gun to school and had a list of students he would shoot. The student, who was from Eddystone, did not have access to any guns, Harris said.

"Apparently he told detectives he had been reacting to being bullied," said Harris.
