Delaware State Police have arrested a woman, 35, and charged her in connection with a sexual relationship she had with a 14-year-old male friend of her son.
Katheryn L. Carmean was arrested yesterday at her work place and charged with three counts of rape, continuous sexual abuse of a child and endangering the welfare of a child, according to state police.
She was taken into custody after the boy told a family member that he had a sexual relationship with Carmean off-and-on for 10 months. The family member went to authorities who began an immediate investigation.
Police said the encounters occurred when the victim would periodically stay at Carmean's home on Mt. Zion Road near Laurel, Del.
