The newly instituted lottery for the 10-mile Broad Street Run on May 5 opened Monday at 12:01 a.m. and will close at 11:59 p.m. next Friday. You have the same chance to make the field of 40,000 runners no matter when you enter. Register by last names.

Feb. 10-11: S-Z
Feb. 12-15: Last chance.
