U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz (D., Pa.) is "seriously considering" a run for the Democratic nomination for governor in 2014, her chief of staff, Rachel Magnuson, said late Friday in an interview.
Schwartz was all the talk Friday night at a meeting of state Democrats in Hershey after the news site Capitolwire quoted Marcel Groen, the veteran Montgomery County Democratic chairman and longtime Schwartz ally, as saying she was "80 percent of the way" to seeking the nomination to run against Republican Gov. Corbett next year.
