Nihilistic fatalism. Not a term one usually associates with Seth MacFarlane. But that's how he feels about doing the most dangerous job he's ever done: hosting the Oscars. "There is sort of a comfort in knowing that no matter what you do, you're going to get the same reactions in the reviews," the Family Guy creator says.

"So I could put on the worst or the best show in the world and I will still be flayed by the press." Seth, 39, is stuck: If he does what he's famous for - sharp, gutter-level jokes à la American Dad, then the chi-chi crowd will walk out. He says he'll try to strike a balance between Billy Crystal's classic charm and Ricky Gervais' shark-toothed satire: "The whole point of their bringing me on was to give it a little bit more of an edge."

Hip injury halts Lady Gaga tour

Lady Gaga has canceled the rest of her tour dates - including two shows next week in Philadelphia - because of a hip injury.

Live Nation Global Touring said in a news release Wednesday that Gaga had a tear in her right hip that will require surgery, followed by a recovery period.

Her website showed 21 dates remaining on her "Born This Way Ball" tour schedule, including Tuesday and Wednesday at Wells Fargo Center. Fans who have bought tickets will receive a refund.

A news release Tuesday said she was suffering from synovitis, an inflammation of the joints. She underwent tests Wednesday that showed she had a muscle tear in her right hip. It said the surgery will require strict downtime.

Feeling his Wheaties

Bruce Jenner's had it.

The former star athlete, who won Olympic gold in '76, is reportedly tired of being taken for granted, dissed, and belittled in his Kardashian-infested reality show of a home. How mad is he? Divorce mad! The National Enquirer claims Jenner, 63, is hatching a secret plot to divorce his wife of 21 years, Kardashian matriarch Kris.

Anonymous Sources tell the tabloid that Bruce feels that Kris' "raging egomania," and her constant flirting with other men, leaves little room for him. A divorce would have the duo fight over their $155 mil fortune.

Kris denies the couple is divorcing.

Will Ferrell: Garcetti is cool!

Funnyman Will Ferrell, 45, who skewered American politicians in The Campaign, has filmed a new political vid which either endorses or mocks ( mendorses?) real-life Los Angeles mayoral hopeful Eric Garcetti.

"Who cares what some strikingly handsome actor thinks?" Ferrell says. He then riffs on Olivia Newton-John's "Let's Get Physical," then promises that if you vote for Garcetti, "there will be free waffles for every Los Angeles resident every Tuesday."
