Before the 76ers played Miami on Saturday night, 76ers coach Doug Collins confirmed a Saturday report in The Inquirer that center Andrew Bynum had scrimmaged with his teammates.
"He did," Collins said when asked by a reporter whether Bynum had played five-on-five.
Bynum, Collins said, asked if he could enter the game.
"He looked like someone who had not played in nine months," Collins said. "I think the good part was that he had fun."
Collins said getting practice time for Bynum would be difficult. The Sixers began a stretch of six games in nine nights on Saturday.
