Te'o to get 2 awards from Maxwell Club

Harrah's Resort Atlantic City is set to host the 76th Annual Maxwell Football Club awards ceremony on Friday.

Manti Te'o of Notre Dame will be presented with both the Maxwell Award as the collegiate player of the year and the Chuck Bednarik Award as the collegiate defensive player of the year.

It is the first time in the Maxwell Club's 76-year history that a player has won both awards.

Here are the other award winners:

George Munger award for college coach of the year: Bill O'Brien, Penn State.

Bert Bell award for top NFL player: Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings.

Greasy Neale award for top NFL coach: Chuck Pagano, Indianapolis Colts, and Bruce Arians, formerly of Indianapolis, now of the Arizona Cardinals.

Francis "Reds" Bagnell award for contributions to football: Ozzie Newsome, general manager of the Baltimore Ravens.

Tri-State coach award for local college coach: Isaac Collins, formerly of Widener.

Tri-State player award for local college player: Khaseem Greene, Rutgers.

Maxwell Football Club award for high school coach: Derrick Henry, Yulee High School.

Jim Henry award for local high school player: Fran Walsh, Archbishop Wood.

Tom Brookshier spirit award: 31 Penn State senior football players.

Harrah's broadcast award: Chris Collinsworth, NBC's Sunday Night Football.
