Three more jurors were selected Tuesday for the murder trial of West Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell.
The two men and one woman picked by prosecution and defense lawyers working with Common Pleas Court Judge Jeffrey P. Minehart brings to six the number of jurors - four women and two men. The selection process continues Wednesday in the search for a panel of 12 jurors and six alternates for a trial estimated to last six to eight weeks.
Gosnell, 72, is accused of seven counts of first-degree murder in the killings of seven infants born live and viable during abortions at Gosnell's Women's Medical Society clinic at 3801 Lancaster Ave. Gosnell faces a possible death penalty if the jury finds him guilty of first-degree murder. - Joseph A.
