It starts with coaches covering the basics about how to play.
"We went in the batting cages. They showed us how to pitch. How to do ground balls," Jessica Ordille of Hammonton, N.J., said last spring. "It was fun."
Coaches, plus a player and a broadcaster will answer all sorts of questions.
The pre-game party, hosted by the Phanatic and 98.1 WOGL's Valerie Knight and Frank Lewis, will be followed by the 7:05 p.m. Boston game.
By purchasing extra game tickets, attendees will be able to sit with a friend or spouse, according to spokeswoman Deanna Sabec.
Proceeds from the $200 tickets benefit Phillies charities. Each of the first 13 such events sold out, raising about $230,000 for Phillies charities.

A second clinic will be held in August.
