Police are searching for a Southwest Philadelphia man in the home invasion of several Temple University students.

Elijah Washington, 24, is believed to be the third man in a trio that followed a 21-year-old female student March 4 from the Broad Street Line stop at Temple to her apartment at 19th and Berks Streets.

About 7:30 p.m., as the student was entering her apartment, the three armed men forced their way in.

According to police, one pointed a gun at the student as another sealed her mouth with duct tape. As the first man pointed a gun at her head, the other two forced the student's three roommates to hand over cash, computers, cell phones and debit cards and PIN numbers.

The gunmen fled after binding the four roommates with the tape and threatening to kill them if they moved.

Police arrested Tyree Johnson, 19, and Malcolm Murray, 18, last week and are holding them on $800,000 bail each after the men were charged with aggravated assault, robbery and related counts.

Washington is known to frequent the area of 52nd and Pentridge Street. and the Wilson Park Housing Development at 25th and Jackson Streets.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Central Detectives at 215-686-3093.
