You should sit down: This report may shock you to the very core of your being. Not all scenes in reality shows are spontaneous, unscripted, or really real!

This hard truth has come to light in the Kris Humphries- Kim Kardashian divorce battle. According to court documents obtained by Life & Style Weekly, Keeping Up With the Kardashians producer Russell Jay admits at least two scenes from the reality show were scripted, reshot and/or edited to make Humphries out as a villain. One scene, which has Kardashian tell her mom, Kris Jenner, that she is struggling in the marriage, was reshot after Kardashian already had filed for divorce. It's ammo for Humphries, who is suing his wife for allegedly staging her marriage to him as a publicity stunt.

New pope: Celebs weigh in

Operating on the adage that no world event is real until famous people talk about it, here are some celeb tweets on the election of the 266th pontiff, Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Argentina.

Joan Rivers: "I haven't seen this many people transfixed by a puff of white smoke since the discovery of fire!"

Aziz Ansari: "Feeling good about my chances to be new Pope. My agents said I should hear something today . . ."

Seth Rogen: "There's also white smoke coming out of my office, but nobody seems that excited about it."

Brooke dancing on cancer

Beating cancer can do a lot to your Weltanschauung, says thyroid cancer survivor Brooke Burke-Charvet though she didn't use that most ungainly German word for world view.

It "was pretty shocking," to hear the diagnosis, said the Dancing with the Stars beauty. "I got a second and a third opinion. . . . In the end, I had 10 biopsies." She said being in her 40s is "a reality check. . . . I would like to slow down my aging process, but . . . you have to embrace Mother Nature a little. I'm a woman. I'm a wife. I'm a mother of four. I don't want to look like a 25-year-old anymore."

Ashley Judd . . . senator?

Is Ashley Judd running against Mitch McConnell for U.S. Senate from Kentucky? McConnell, a senator since '84, is minority leader of the whole dang Senate, and A-Judd is an actor - very politically committed, but an actor. There is an opening: McConnell is way underwater in his state approval ratings, as in only 37 percent yea. National polls show him as the least popular senator in the country. Which is going some. MSNBC commentator Howard Fineman says Ash has hired a pollster and is interviewing prospective staffers.

It's a big assignment: Mitch may be ailing, but Kaintuck went for the GOP's Mitt Romney by 23 points in '12, and an internal McConnell poll shows him ahead by four whole points. Rumor has it Ashley will announce her candidacy on May 4, Kentucky Derby Day.

Injured but stylish

Lady Gaga can't even be sick without style (and grievously high expense). The Daily Beast reports that the hip-hop-pop starlet who recently had surgery for an inflammatory joint infection is tooling around in a custom-made, leather-tufted, 24-karat gold-plated wheelchair. "I wanted it to look like a throne," says its creator, jewelry designer Ken Borochov.

Tidbits 'n' pieces

We don't know whether they're made of rare metals, but there's a neck brace gracing Miranda Kerr's already graceful figure. The Victoria's Secret angel was in a minor car crash on Monday. . . . Ed Asner, who has been on the road with his one-man show for three years, was hospitalized Tuesday night in Gary, Ind., with exhaustion. . . . There are unconfirmed rumors Vogue grand poobah Anna Wintour has assigned photog Annie Leibovitz to shoot first lady Michelle Obama as the mag's next cover girl. . . .
