New Jersey added more jobs in 2012 than anytime since 2000, the state Labor Department reported Monday.
Despite the addition of 66,400 nonfarm jobs, the state's unemployment rate still remains higher than the national average - 9.5 percent compared to 7.9 percent in January.
The department said 2012 marked the third consecutive year of private sector employment gains in the state and the biggest since 2000.
