A Montgomery County woman has been arrested on charges of stabbing her male roommate, police said.

On Tuesday at 8:01 a.m., Myron McClinton called 911 to say he had been cut with a knife by the women with whom he shares an apartment and was bleeding, police said. When Upper Moreland Township police arrived at the Wellington Apartments at 2529 Horsham Road they were greeted by Candice Phillips

"He's upstairs, I did it, I did it," Phillips allegedly told police.

McClinton was found lying in a large pool of blood in the master bedroom. He was transported to Abington Hospital in respiratory arrest. He underwent surgery for lacerations to his arm and other injuries and was listed in stable condition, according to police.

Police said there were blood stains and spray on the walls of the hallways, bathroom and bedroom of the apartment. A bloody knife was found hidden in the bedroom between the mattress and box spring.

Phillips was arraigned and charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and other related crimes. She was being held on S100,000 cash bail.
