Rev. James P. McCloskey is new president at Holy Ghost Prep

Posted: April 10, 2013

The Rev. James P. McCloskey, a 1970 graduate of Holy Ghost Preparatory School in Bensalem, will become the next president of the private Catholic boys' school.

The school announced Tuesday that McCloskey, who had served first as headmaster and then as president of Holy Ghost from 1990-2002, will return to the school July 1.

He will replace the Rev. Jeffrey T. Duaime, who will become provincial of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit-USA Province, the religious order that founded the school in 1897.

McCloskey had left Holy Ghost Prep in 2002 to become vice president for university relations at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. He became Duquesne's vice president of mission and identity in 2009.

Holy Ghost enrolls nearly 500 male students.
