A Lancaster County district judge who logged into a database and dismissed citations against her own car should be disciplined, the state Court of Judicial Discipline has found.

Judge Kelly Ballentine, 44, was given two parking tickets and a citation for an expired registration on her BMW sedan in 2010. Ballentine, a judge since 2006, later used the court's computer system to dismiss the tickets. Ballentine has been suspended with pay since February 2012 and pleaded guilty this year to tampering with public records. She also paid $1,500 in fines to District Court.

The judicial court will announce Ballentine's penalty at a later time. She has 10 days to file an objection to the findings. - Allison Steele
