Thaddeus J. Przybylowski, 82, of Cheltenham, whom many knew as "Teddy Miller" in Bridesburg, where he operated a real estate business for decades, died Wednesday, April 17, after a brief hospitalization.
Mr. Przybylowski ran Miller Realty in Bridesburg, having inherited the business from his father, Casimir, who founded it in 1918. He started working there with his father in the early 1950s.
Miller Realty was such an institution - and Mr. Przybylowski was so appreciated for his energy in the neighborhood - that in 2011, the city government renamed the intersection of Thompson and Orthodox Streets "Przybylowski Corner."
"He was a very nice gentleman. He cared," said former Councilwoman Joan Krajewski, who introduced the resolution.
