A Chester man wanted in the fatal shooting of a man and the critical wounding of a woman who was sitting inside her home watching television was arrested Tuesday morning, officials said.

Naim T. Williams, 18, was picked up by U.S. marshals and Delaware state police shortly after 6 a.m., according to police, who have not yet disclosed where he was found.

A warrant was issued for Williams after Thursday's shooting charging him with murder, aggravated assault, and illegally carrying a weapon as a convict.

Williams allegedly shot Demetrius Jones, 21, also of Chester, in broad daylight while he was walking in the area of 21st and Crozer Streets in Chester. Jones died at Crozer-Chester Medical Center about 81/2 hours later, police said.

Edith Hardy, of the 100 block of West 22d Street, was struck in the neck when a stray bullet came through a window. She remains in critical condition at Crozer-Chester, officials said.
