A 40-year-man was arrested for a February armed robbery of a Subway restaurant in South Philadelphia, police said Thursday.
Michael Showers, of the 2700 block of South Randolph Street, was charged with robbing the Subway at 330 Oregon Ave on Feb. 3. He allegedly asked an employee for cookies and then revealed a handgun and demanded money. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police released surveillance video of the robbery and a tipster identified the suspect as Showers, police said. Showers was arrested on May 30.
