The 76ers may have interest in the Detroit Pistons' Will Bynum as their backup point guard.

The Sixers and the Indiana Pacers, along with the Pistons, are said to be potential suitors for Bynum, who becomes an unrestricted free agent July 1, according to the Detroit Free Press. Vince Ellis, the paper's Pistons writer, tweeted the information Friday.

The 6-foot, 185-pound Bynum, 30, has been with the Pistons since 2008. He averaged 9.8 points, 3.6 assists, 1.5 rebounds, and 18.8 minutes in 65 appearances this past season.

He is not related to the Sixers' Andrew Bynum.

Working out Aiken. The Sixers have scheduled a workout June 24 with former St. Joseph's forward C.J. Aiken, according to his agent.

The Sixers have a first-round pick (11th overall) and two second-round selections (35th and 42d) in the June 27 NBA draft. Aiken, a 6-foot-9, 216-pounder who left St. Joseph's after his junior year, is projected to go undrafted.

The former Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School standout averaged 10.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks for the Hawks this past season.
