The man who plunged a knife into another man's adomen on Monday was chased down last night by a Bensalem police officer who recognized him from surveilance video, according to court documents.

The alleged stabber was identified as Michael C. Bell, 45, who has "no fixed abode," according to the documents filed this morning.

He is being held in Bucks County prison in lieu of $100,000 bail. Charges against him include aggravated assault, a first-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

Bensalem police say the stabbing occurred about 7:10 p.m. Monday after the victim caught Bell breaking into cars near Street and Mechanicsville Roads.
