2 wounded in NE Philly shooting

Two men were wounded, one critically, early Tuesday in a shooting in Northeast Philadelphia, police said.

A 19-year-old man was shot in his left ankle and a 23-year-old was shot once in the head as they tried to run away from two other males about 12:20 a.m. on the 400 block of East Howell Street in Crescentville, police said. The suspects were wearing hoodies.

No arrests have been made and police have not reported a possible motive for the shooting.

The victim with the head wound was listed in critical but stable condition at Einstein Medical Center, according to police. The other victim was reported in stable condition at the hospital.
