Thesp lovers Halle Berry, 46, and Olivier Martinez, 47, are getting married this weekend, Anonymous Source tells People.
Olivier ( Blood and Chocolate), proposed last spring, springing on the Monster's Ball Oscar-winner a custom-crafted emerald ring designed by Robert Lazlo.
The couple, who are expecting their first child, a boy, in early fall, plan to say their vows in the Gallic actor's homeland. Reports indicate they flew to Paris Thursday with Halle's first child, 5-year-old Nahla.
Olivier pal and film industry insider Sophie Dulac says, in so many words, that Fate put Halle and Olivier on earth so they could find each other. This will be Olivier's first marriage, the third for Halle.
Cricket's a totally cool name!
No, it's not. Well not for a human girl.
But that's the name Busy Phillips has foisted on her daughter. Busy and hub Marc Silverstein, who welcomed the bairn last week, have named her Cricket Pearl Silverstein. Busy doesn't get why people may find the name odd. It's "weird people think my kids will be in therapy because of their names," she tweets. "Guys, my kids will be therapy for LOTS of reasons, I'm sure."
Oh, that I were a Kardashian!
Khloé Kardashian and NBA hub Lamar Odom had a run-in with several photogs Wednesday in Hollywood, says USA Today. Odom allegedly grabbed one of the dude's camera bags and chucked it on the street, then trashed another photog's car.
Khloé expressed (self-)righteous outrage on Twitter: "Wow can't believe a paparazzi snuck into our gated area and violated our private property!!!!" She added a few epithets for good measure. Oh that I were her!!!
Bieber: Yo, i'm sorry, prez dude
Justin Bieber was captured on camera urinating in a restaurant janitor's mop bucket and following up that command performance by spraying a photo of former president Bill Clinton with cleaning solution, saying "[bleep] Bill Clinton!"
Well, it seems Bill forgave Justin after he had a chat with the brat. Bieber tweets, "thanks for taking the time to talk Mr. President. Your words meant alot. #greatguy."
Gossip petits fours
LeAnn Rimes, 30, is tickled by a report she is with child. "LMAO Star Magazine!" she tweets. "I don't know if you dr the pics or pic the worst one you can find, but I'm far from pregnant & just dropped a jean size." . . . Comedy Central will invite a cadre of showbiz folk to heap insult, venom and jeering on James Franco (a "multi-hyphenated, incessant creative risk taker in different media," says a press release). It'll be shot next month and will air on Labor Day. . . . Glenn Close, who played a no-holds-barred, take-no-prisoners Machiavellian attorney in Damages, is selling off 380 designer pieces she wore on the show. Proceeds from the eBay auction will benefit charity Bring Change 2 Mind.
Don't hound Bobbi Brown 'n' her fella
Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, 20, is engaged to Nick Gordon, the dude some gossipsnipes say is her biological or adopted brother. "We aren't even real brother and sister, nor is he my adoptive brother," Bobbi says on Facebook. "In fact, mommy was the one who even said that she knew that we were going to start dating." So there!
You're either hot for someone or . . .
. . . you're not. Period. And you know instantly. In the blink of an eye.
So teaches sex guru philosopher Amanda Seyfried, 27, who has learnt a great deal about the meaning of life - or at least the bedroom part of life - from her role as porn star Linda Lovelace in the upcoming biopic. "Everybody I've dated I've been sexually attracted to immediately," Amanda tells Elle's August issue. She dismisses the idea that you should become friends first: "Sparks don't grow - your [intimate body region] doesn't become more inclined to wanting someone just because you're around them."
'Born Sinner' trashes 'Yeezus'
Kanye West's world-historical genius for self-promotion hasn't been enough to keep his latest LP, Yeezus, at No. 1 on the Billboard album chart. Hip-hopster J. Cole grabs the top spot this week with Born Sinner, which sold 58,000 for a total tally of 439,000 since its June 18 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Kanye's album, released the same day, is in third place this week with 39,000 for a total tally only 431,000 copies. Wale's Gifted is at No. 2 with 50,000.
