A Douglassville, Pa., man, his wife, and his former girlfriend have been charged with sexually assaulting and torturing children for more than a decade, said Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan.

Warren Earl Yerger, 51, faces more than 500 criminal charges in connection with the abuse of four children who were in his care between 1989 and 2012, Hogan said.

According to court documents, Yerger abused the three girls and a boy for more than 10 years, forcing them to engage in sexual acts with him and each other.

Leslie Yerger, 34, his wife, and Deborah Keeley, 46, his former girlfriend, have also been charged.

The victims were as young as 3 when the abuse occurred, Hogan said.

According to court documents, Warren Yerger was also physically abusive toward the children, telling one he would "beat the evil out of him."

Warren Yerger is being held in the Chester County Prison on $1 million bail. Leslie Yerger and Keeley are held on $500,000 bail.

Hogan said in a news release Friday that "there is no charge that exists for it, but [Warren Yerger] ought to be charged with murdering the childhood of these victims."
